Mint Shape Coleman 1946 " 220 C " Lantern

Ardenvoir, Washington

Given to me by the Hahn Family of AUburn Calif. Thanks !! These were post war lanterns with " Screw In " type pumps " which were the best as they are stronger and easy to screw out and remove the plunger. ( Much better than the type with screws and cheaper yet " clips ". Also the fount ( or tank ) was made of quality brass and painted on this model. Soon in the early 50's , the tanks were mostly made of steel and then painted. ( Except for a few models , like the Prof. modle 202,etc. ) A good lantern lantern will last several generations if taken care of and I have some that date back to the 1920's. Coleman family sold out their business in March 1988, and all their stuff since is not nearly the same quality as the old stuff..... ( This model was made between 1944-1946 )
