Chicago & North Western Kate Shelley makes her last stop in
DeKalb, Illinois. This was her last run to Clinton, Iowa.

Engine 5012B is an EMD E7A, delivered to C&NW in September 1947.
In Jeff Wilson's book on E-Units, a photo of this exact locomotive appears,
taken when she was relatively new in 1950 (p. 46).

Also in Greg Stout's "Trackside Around Illinois 1960-1973 with George Strombeck,"
there is a very similar photo taken as the Kate Shelley pauses in DeKalb on the day
before (p.46). Locomotive 5012B is featured in several photos in this volume.
