The Orbis Flying Eye Hospital is a McDonnell Douglas MD-10 that has been highly modified to serve as
a mobile surgery and education center for the international promotion of eye health in developing
nations. The Orbis MD-10 is the third iteration of the Flying Eye Hospital and entered service in
June of 2016. It is the world's only flying eye hospital.
