From the road, it almost looks abandoned....

On the way to see the Farmer in the Dell, my friend described her visit with the old bachelor farmer who lives in this house.... on a back road along the way to our destination.

She stopped by one day years back to say hello... he eyed her suspiciously, but eventually shared with her how many times he's been approached by affluent sorts from the City to buy his homestead.... he bitterly hurries them away, yelling, this place is not for sale!
