Our Lolo, or Grandfather, started the Talisay Rondalia Band (an ensemble of guitars, mandolin and related instruments, including the 12 string bandurrias). He taught each child how to play their instrument, some learning how to play multiple types. We met wonderful man while visiting my Lolo's grave... he was in the original 1950s band! He invited us to his home, to hear him sing and play. That's my aunt Josi singing with him (as a child she hung out with the Rondalia).

He also taught other lesions - like how to handle pain - he carried out many of the towns circumcisions!
