Hurricane Ike

Ike was the ninth named storm, fifth hurricane and third major hurricane of 2008 Atlantic hurricane season. Ike hit the Texas Coast on the morning of September 13, 2008, making landfall at 2:10 a.m. over the east end of Galveston Island as a Category 2 hurricane with winds 110 mph.
