Food 5272014

It took me a long time, but I did eventually learn that food heated in the microwave should be covered.

What good did it do me?

After carefully covering this dish of stew (see the upturned dish) I set the microwave to reheat.
After it did its thing for awhile, I heard a tremendous bang, loud enough to scare me.
When I opened the microwave, this is what greeted me. The explosion caused by
some moisture trapped in a piece of meat had superheated and exploded, forcing the cover to dislodge.

I suppose I should be grateful that I did at least have the cover in place.
Otherwise I imagine the entire bowl of stew would have been plastered all over.

That is the worst. I have done that with spaghetti sauce and it’s awful to clean.
