For a person who has never seen beets that weren't just plain red, it was an intriguing
surprise to find these on my chopping block. What made them more interesting is that when cooked,
they all assumed a uniform orangey colour (which didn't surprise me) but reverted to their original colours
once the leftovers were refrigerated (which did).
(Apologies for the poor DoF but I was in a hurry to fix dinner.)
