HairLight 2020412

For the boom, I used a couple pieces of pipe-- (approx. 5.5 feet (1.7 m) long -- salvaged from a
wind-wrecked canvas pergola. The nicest thing about using those pipes is that it justified me
hanging on to them for several years with no particular purpose in mind; the second-nicest was
that the two pieces joined together is a bullet latch. Of course, any sort of pipe --
electrical conduit, copper water pipe,, etc., could be used. Couplings could be purchased to suit.

I'm not sure plastic pipe would be sturdy enough to support the weights involved,
and I wouldn't recommend wood because it would take a fairly large cross-section to support the weights.
