When I was a child my family had a large garden in the back yard. We lived way out in the country, so it was easy for us to do so. We grew corn, cucumbers, green beans and a ton of other things. I wasn't hugely involved in it, as it was really my Mom's project, but I still look back on that garden with a lot of fondness.

Now I live in the suburbs, and it would take my entire back yard to create the same size garden that we had in my childhood. Between that and the fact that I have problems that keep me from kneeling, I have turned to container gardening. It has been a long time, it is an entirely different climate, and I am a complete beginner at it but the only remedy for the lack of practice is..well...PRACTICE! So here is my garden, warts and all. :)
