And now . . . for something completely different! I was lucky enough to catch some local ice climbers climbing in the lovely sunshine this afternoon. This is not part of a mountain he is on but an old (I think) firehall tower where they used to dry the hoses? Anyway, it is some tall brick structure that is hosed down to coat it with ice and the club climbs it. We live on the prairies so this is as close as they can get to the real thing here!

Who would ever guess a brick building on the plains? Love it.

I'm afraid this was a "click and run" photo since I was having to leave to pick up my daughter! In retrospect, perhaps I should hang around there again and offer my services as photographer!

If you'd not said I would have thought you were dangling some few thousand feet to capture this ice climber? Very good shot and an oppertunity well taken?

Nice shot. I was thinking New England. I climbed some small waterfalls there years ago. Good composition to hide the fact that this wasn't a mountainside. :)

Very cool! And what an excellent image! I like the composition... you'd never know he wasn't on some frozen mountain range somewhere.

Hell looks real to me,if you had'nt said so I would have guessed you lived next to a glacier.

It looks like you were in the Swiss Alps or maybe Austria today.
This is great.
