You may not already know this, but just in case you don't I'll tell you. Wouldn't want you to feel left out now, would we? I like Portugal. I think its capital city is just one of the best places there is. Lisbon is a beautiful city full of character and characters. I don't get to Lisbon as much as I would like now that I've sold my soul and started "working for the man". But the fact that my trips are now limited perhaps makes me appreciate the city even more. There is one thing that is absolutely certain, however, and that is that as long as I am physically and economically capable of making the trip to the Portuguese capital from my northern European outpost, I will do so, for I cannot imagine -- and nor do I care to imagine -- my life without Lisbon being a big part of it. Having said all that, you would be forgiven for thinking that I have not been here for some time, when in fact I was here in February, and I will probably be here again in July...
