644. Vasco da Gama

26 March 2006

Today was Mother's Day here in the UK, and it rained from dawn to dusk... and it's still raining. Celtic coasted to another victory today, and if we win our next game (against Hearts, currently second placed in the league) then we will win the league! Celebrations on 5 April are a distinct possibility! Spent a great deal of time today going around putting all the clocks and watches in the house an hour forward. It's only when the clocks change that you realise just how many clocks there are on the various gadgets around the house. At least the computers all update themselves automatically... I only wish the cooker, microwave, DVD players, alarm clocks, video recorders, heating timer, etc., etc., would as well. If you hadn't guessed, this is one from the archive, chosen to bring a little sunshine on the dreich and drab March day.

I like this one with the sails. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers in your family. I remember having to give a talk on Vasco da Gama in fifth grade-I cried all night cause I was so shy, but I still remember it.
