O livro imprescindível (The indispensable book)

So anyway, while the picture may not be up to much, it does at least have the double merit of having actually been taken today (a bit of a novelty there, then), and being a fair and accurate representation of the things that I have spent the day in front of... my little laptop and my trusty Dicionário Português-Inglês, that I bought second-hand for 2,500 escudos (about £10) in February 1996 from the Livraria Trinidade on Lisbon's Rua da Trinidade - this little book has helped me earn thousands of pounds during the intervening years, and probably paid for my camera. So, for that alone, it deserves to be featured here.

Last year I reminisced about my first trip to Lisbon and paid a tribute to Bruce Berrien

Eu gosto deste retrato, muito moody. Eu traduzi este comentário usando o tradutor de Google - não veja nenhuma necessidade para um dicionário, menino velho de Stu! Bill

I love your daily blog. I am always laughing at your dry wit. Sometimes the better photos are the spur of the moment ones like this one.

My eyes go funny if I spend a long time at the computer. I thought it might be e hymn book there for a sec.

Your descriptions are always a good read :) Let me know when you figure out that pay for no work thing!

I like the blue background/screen. Yes, we have had similar ideas today, though sadly my nineteenth-century French dictionary cost more a lot more that your Portugese one - and is no where near as cost-effective... ;)

This is all about the book & the camera. A relationship that would perhaps not come about for one, if not the other !! Good focus, Stu.
