After all the hectic excitement of the weekend's trip 'doon the watter' to Bute, it was nice just to be at home - even if that meant being tied to a paint roller! I did take some time off the decorating to watch The Last Samurai, which was entertaining hokum if it was nothing else. I have had to apologise to Zak for not calling in on him while I was back home at the weekend, and I promise that the next time I am down I will pop in for a cup of coffee. Talking of visiting, NORTHSTAR called in for a cuppa on his way to Perth and stayed for his supper and a wee glass of vinho branco. Got so into the conversation that we lost track of time, and were only brought to our senses when his wife called him to ask where he was and to let him know that his mother was worried at his non-arrival.
