I bought a second-hand Nikon D7100 as a backup for my Z6 and to replace my Nikon D3300, which I decided to put aside because I was very unhappy with the image quality. Not to say the D3300 is a bad camera, it just isn't what I was looking for. I like to have one camera on a tripod (the Z6) and another that I use for taking what are essentially little more than glorified snaps, often in sub-optimal conditions and I quickly discovered the D3300, which I bought recently to replace a Canon T3i that fell in a loch in September, wasn't really up to the job. So, I did some research and managed to find a reasonably cheap D7100. Everyone seems to rave about it, but then they all raved about the D3300 (albeit as an entry-level camera for beginners). The D7100 is certainly a step up and so far I am delighted with the quality of the images it produces. Now, does anyone want to buy a D3300?
