It's father's day here in the UK, and my son gave me a copy of Adobe Photoshop CS4: The ultimate workshop. I tried out some of the techniques on this image. Definitely a useful gift that I will use a lot, I imagine.

Technique:
Three bracketed hand-held exposures (0, -0.7, +0.7)
White balance correction in ACR5.3
Imported as layers into PS4
Auto-align, median stack and USM
Flattened as file1
Same three original exposures HDR processed and tonemapped in Photomatix
Resulting file imported as layer on top of file1
Sky from tonemapped image blended into file1
Image flattened and saturation slightly boosted.
