The room is getting a long-overdue makeover next month. Almost all of the books have been moved out of the way to their temporary home in the downstairs hallway, while the old bookcases have been dispatched to the bonfire. The new bookcases have been purchased and the decorator's and electrician's quotes have been scrutinised and agreed. The new carpet is on order. Where I'm going to work in the meantime is a mystery... perhaps I'll just take a holiday.
