Finally, after a long day travelling and sitting around airports, I arrived in Lisbon in springtime. I got to the bus stop at the airport and saw that there was a 15 minute wait until my bus arrived. The board counted down to two minutes, then promptly reset to 58, so I got a taxi instead. Upon arrival at Chapitô, I ordered a caipirinha and I sat on the patio overlooking the city, the Tagus and the 25 April bridge to the statue of Christ the King, and let the cachaça and the view ease away the memory of the journey.
