The demonstrators got their act together much better than for the Star Ferry and conducted a more effective public relations exercise and organised peaceful resistance, culminating in a 72 hour hunger strike. They lost their battle inevitably, but have hopefully demonstrated that the public are getting fed-up with this wanton development. Next stop, the Graham street wet-market....
