The unique little peculiarities which remind you that you're in China: wonderful signage in super old-fashioned English, Chinglish/Engrish, brand names and slogans which have clearly been 'influenced' or outright copied, and expressions someone has done their best to interpret but got slightly wrong or introduced a double meaning. The distinctive photographic shooting and posing stances, and the ability to sleep almost anywhere.
