That first step off of the knob takes you most of the way back down to the Catawba valley floor, I don't recommend it.

It was so cold and windy this morning that the batteries got so cold that I would only get 2 or 3 shots before the camera shut down. Then I would have to put the battery in my pocket for 10 minutes or so before I could get another 2 or 3 shots.
