The only time I have been to Le Conte, back in '82, my cousin and I were trapped on the overlook by bears. We managed to get back to the trail but the mother and 3 cubs pushed us deeper into the woods on the trail. Were managed to get off trail and work our way back to the lodge. Quite an experience!!
