A Banana at the Elbow

on the Little Pigeon River in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Shot from the road, heck I could have just rolled down my car window and got this one.

This is another from my River Kayak Gallery. The rest can be seen here. http://www.pbase.com/lundy/river_kayak_gsm_january_22_2006

This vantage point from the road is perfect I like how you can frame, "The Elbow" as the Kayakers call it, to make the water appear to be moving from three different directions plus this makes a flowing foreground, midground and background with a set of boulders to compliment at each distance.

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM
1/500s f/3.5 at 130.0mm iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Excellent shot. The colors of the boat and boatsman really add to this shot.
