Abby @ Biltmore: Fall 2005

Today we took a quick drive to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC.

We had planned this trip months ago, but the fall colors were a no show.

We had a nice time walking around some of the trails and the crowds were not that bad, other than at the house itself. So we had some peaceful walks, took some nice shots and headed home.

We might go back in two weeks for a last chance at peak colors.

One suprise on this trip was that the rose garden was in way better bloom than in the summer. I had no idea they would be so healthy looking in late fall.

Wow it really is still green there. We have already lost a lot of our leaves; in fact most in some areas. Looks like there is just a hint of a color tint over the image that detracts a little; otherwise real nice shot.
