Today my Nature and Travel Photography class had a field trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
This water fall is easily found less than a mile from the Townsend entrance to the park. Once you enter the park and get to the "Y" (split in the road) turn right to head towards Cades Cove and this waterfall is at the first parking lot on the right. This scene is visible from the parking lot or you can walk a 15 foot long trail to get to where I set up my tripod.
At the top of this very small waterfall is one of the few places I always seem to find fly fishermen in the park.
Did you notice the whirpool to the right of the center?
