Color world, B&W Me!

Working on layers tonight.

Same image. Duplicted. One image was converted to gray scale and duotone (monotone) then the original was placed on top of it.

Then I used the magic wand tool and highlighted my face and arms so that all skin was inside the "marching ants" then used the erase tool and removed the top color layer, thus leaving the monotone skin showing thru.

Did it slightly different with Abby. http://www.pbase.com/lundy/image/47896133

On her image it was two different frames. One of her and the background and then one of just the background underexposed so that the deep blue shows up better. Then the image with Abby was placed on top of the darker blue image and a "hole" was cut out so that Abby appears to be in the same scene with the darker background.

Im not much for the b/w-color layer technique but between the shirt and background it makes for an interesting look. and would it kill ya to smile lol
