This was fun trying to get the timing right to catch the match tip in half burn. Took about 12 bursts to get this.
I used the camera's remote set to take ten images per release of the shutter. This allowed me to start the camera, then get my hands in place and try to time out the strike with the next shutter release. The lens was set to manual focus and I had pre-focused on a point where I planned to strike the match.
So all in all it took 120 frames to get this one. I could only get one strike per continious set of ten frames. This one had the best glow on the area of the match still just starting to light.
This one had way better composition http://www.pbase.com/lundy/image/46255050
