Abby found this "rare water bird" tonigh in the back yard. Please read below for a giggle.
Named for its least obvious field mark, a faint blush of red on the belly that is rarely seen, the red-bellied woodpecker is the largest common woodpecker of the eastern United States. It can be found in almost any wooded area, including suburban neighborhoods and parks. It is immediately recognized by the black-and-white zebra barring on the back and the red cowl, which is limited to the back of the head in females.
Ya know I think I am going to send my Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM and my 20D to a Canon service center for inspection. Do you think this looks as good as it should? This shot was handheld at 1/80th of a second I was zoomed out to 135mm so I broke that rule but the IS was on so I feel this is too soft.
