Perhaps a high profile funeral, or a celebration of some sort?

Trev it could be the dedication of the WWI memorial tablets that are set in the wall of the lych gate at All Saints Church. There are a number of servicemen lined up there and looks like a bishop or even the Archbishop facing them. there seems to be a guy waiting to pull away the Union flags to open up the gateway.

this could be my grandparents wedding they married in the summer off 1925 he was a navel officer they lived up the warden rd i have pictures of the reception in the garden here at warden
