JKM 939 is a Bristol H(eavy motor car), first registered 30 August 1948, again to M&D.

It was certainly taken in the summer. Not only the sun, but the drivers in the background were wearing their summer jackets.

M&D Bus JKM939 manufactured by Bristol Ltd. One of many similar vehicles that operated the island services during the period 1948-1963. I would suggest that the four M&D bus photographs shown in the collection (FKO230, HKL863, 537HKJ and JKM939) were taken at the same time, and this being the summer season of 1960.

This is a great shot of Sheerness bus station as it used to be. My dad was a bus driver here. I would guess that this was taken in the fifties.
