So, did they abandon the direct trains to Victoria? Is Sheppey only a branch line now?

Yes folks it is sittingbourne station,in the left background is princes street which was demolished to make way for the council depot which is still there.The train is in whats know as the sheerness bay where trains today still wait for passengers for the shepey branch

I Think you're right, this is the Sittingbourne to Sheerness service. Are there any pictures of Leysdown Station on the Sheppey Light Railway?

If that is Sittingbourne station,which it looks like, then it can't be the Sheppey Light Railway as that started at Queenborough

Fascinating collection of photos! I think this one is probably at Sittingbourne, with the bottom of the footbridge on the right. At a guess, around 1950.

Is this the Light Railway that used to run from Queenborough to Leysdown? I believe it close in 1950 but I'm having great difficulty finding more information.
