I have now found out the exact position of this pond and the houses shown. If you were heading out of the village towards Shurland hall, you would have the old school and the old workingmans club to your left hand side. Roughly on the right hand side just before and opposite where the old workingmans club was this is where the pond was. I think it would be roughly in the front garden of the bungalow there. If you were to go on beyond the pond and follow the road round to the right you come across a pair of semi detached cottages, these are the same cottages that you can see in the left of this picture. The wooden houses you can see here are now gone and if you were standing where this picture was taken and turn a little to your left you would be looking down the road to the gate which takes you to Shurland hall.
