This is a series of four images that shows what the wire looks like
inside the cable.
Image #1. This is what the cable looks like after you've stripped off the
outer insulation. You need to be very careful here that you only cut the
insulation and not the braided copper wire that is directly underneath.
Image #2. The braided copper wire is surrounding a red and white wire. I've
separated the strands of copper wire enough to get access to the wires inside.
Then I've twisted the strands together to make the ground wire. You can see in
this image the the red and white wires are covered with paper and string.
Image #3. Ive removed the paper and string that surrounds the red and white wires.
This can be cut off and discarded.
Image #4. This shows the red and white wires after stripping of some of the insulation
from the end of each. Twist the exposed ends of wires so you'll have clean ends to
solder to the terminals on the stereo plug and hack. You need to do this for both ends of the cable.
