An injured Bald Eagle at the Raptor Center, Sitka, Alaska. The Raptor Center retrieves injured birds of prey from all over Alaska and Western Canada, nurses them back to health, and returns many back to the wild. Those that cannot be returned either remain at the Raptor Center, or are given to zoos and wildlife centers.
