The first thing was to get as much fill dirt dumped inside what would be a rather large terrace. It was either do it now are move it in w/ a wheelbarrow later.

Then I dropped in the bottom landing using the hoist on my truck. Now I could calculate how many steps it would take to get to the next landing.
I also laid down a few markers to determine how much of that dirt pile we needed to move.
