I climbed over this pass in 1992, and it would be a good route to climb Mt Hilton. Just on the other side below the pass is the highest lake in the Trinity Alps, and it is only exposed in late summer or dry years. I named it Snow Lake. A good name for the pass would be Hilton Pass.
