The following pictures are from students in the Communication Graphic II program at West Brook HS in Beaumont, Texas. The class is a combination of photography and computer graphics. In the first year class, they spend the first semester learning the basics of composition and exposure with film photography and darkroom print making. In the 2nd semester, we extend the understanding of exposure and composition control with the use of digital cameras. In the 2nd year class, special photographic processes and topics are explored through individual exploration. Video production is added in the 2nd semester to round out the photographic experience. Competition is a focus in both levels of the class.
