Temple Of Poseidon

The Temple of Poseidon is located at Cape Sounion on the Greek coast of the Aegean Sea about an hour and a half drive from Athens. The current temple was built in 440 B.C., following the destruction of the original temple by Persian troops in 480 B.C. during the second Greco-Persian war.
