Throughout Normandy in every hamlet and on many sideroads, one finds small monuments related to the D-Day invasion. This has to do with the plane of Robert Lee Duffy from Colorado of the 404th Fighter Group. The village adopted him when a local buff tracked him down and helped excavate the plane in the 1990s.
