...Whilst April and May are considered by most tourists as being still too cold and windy to laze around in the Greek islands, we were certainly rewarded with profuse blooms of wild flowers...shades of yellow, white, red and violet...as well as red and orange bushes of broom covering craggy hillsides and cliffs...all this during our treks when we would round a bend or a curve and could not help but stop and stare ...(and secretly recover our breathes) and then push on..so that we take twice as long as the serious and younger trekkers! but hey! who cares...we are the ones with the views to enjoy and the pics and the ooohs and the aahs..! ;0)
