My other half and I decided on a river cruise up the Danube, as a Christmas present to ourselves from each other....starting at Budapest cruising up the river alongside Hungary, Austria, Slovakia, Czechia, and Germany which allowed us opportunity to also visit Vienna, Melk, Passau, Regensburg on to Nuremberg where we disembarked and carried on with a land extension to Prague!
Good food, good music...getting into the Yuletide mood with the Christmas markets....cold and windy outside with the occasional rainy day, but warm and cosy in the cabin! Altogether rather enjoyable an experience....enough to tempt us to make another cruise, the next time downriver from Budapest all the way to the Black Sea!!
