We crossed the border into Jordan and stopped at the duty-free shop for a spot of shopping. I had an unfortunate incident with a bottle of vodka, when I bent down to collect it from the shelf, and put my back out. It was so painful that I nearly fainted and ended up being sat on a chair in the middle of the shop, still clutching the bottle and trying not to pass out! Quite a surreal experience which was followed by the bizarre action of being carried over the border because I couldn't walk.
