World of Speed: Racing Pits

There were two pit areas at World of Speed: one for vehicles that had already gone at least
130 miles (209km) per hour and one for those who had not. The former was the larger of the
two and is where I took these pictures. The two racing areas were about a mile (1.6km) apart.

Most pictures do not show how bright the light was on the salt flats: when not wearing
my sunglasses it was impossible to look around for more than a few seconds.

do they stay here at night, or do they have to leave the salt flats and come back next day ?.
If they stay, what would be the temperature at night ?

I'm extremely sensitive to light -- have to wear sunglasses on a cloudy day, literally. Here, I would have to gouge my eyes out to avoid significant pain. My photography might suffer (and then again...)

As a person who never, ever, at any time, for any reason wears sunglasses.
