Bonneville Salt Flats: World Land Speed Record Rained Out
This October 2006 trip was made necessary because I was in need of a major exposure
to salt. The best place to get that is the Bonneville Salt Flats, located at Wendover,
Utah. Part of the salt flats is designated as the Bonneville Speedway---the site of
more world land speed records than any other place in the world.
My goal: to touch the salt for medical reasons (cure the "salt shakes") and
drive on it at insane speed in an attempt to set a new world land speed
record (boost my ego).
