Lest you get the impression that Moab is just a pretty setting in a fantastic landscape, I offer this look at the "back side" of town, aspects of Moab that will never appear in a tourist brochure or website. Paradise always has rough edges, whether the locale is Moab, Paris, New York City, or Renton. There's a flip side to the coin, as it were. This is not to imply that Moab is less desirable than the official view describes, only that reality is more complex than the facade. I love Moab and the fact that its streets are not paved with gold.
