Wendover is 23 miles (37km) away. The end of the salt flats access road is 16 miles (26km) away.
The starting line is 13 miles (21km) away. The end of the speed course is 4 miles (6.4km) away.
The freight train is mis-labeled: the arrow points to the rear of an eastbound train.

World of Speed is an annual speed event on the Bonneville Salt Flats every September.

That is one long walk to the rest area but a guy just doesn't have any other choice.
