Seven-inch shadow at 1700

Southeast Poison Spider Mesa (near Moab, Utah)

Seven inches equals 18 cm. The time was actually 1726. I had to
stretch the truth in the interest of preserving the alliteration.

So this is what they mean by "five o'clock shadow." Is Moab Daylight Time four hours ahead?
