The local authorities have been alerted to a conspiracy originating in southern California (where else?) in which a pair of determined, devilish, dastardly desert dogs plan to crash Moab and visit unspeakable acts upon the citizenry. Highways have extra police patrols. Roadblocks have sprung up everywhere. Security at all park entrances is extremely tight. NPS SWAT teams are crawling all over the sandstone (and evicting kooks trying to "become one with the rock"). Google Earth Night is providing real-time surveillance during hours of darkness. One law enforcement officer was overheard to say "Bring 'em on!"
