From downslope this rock formation didn't even look like an overhang, let alone a tall one. I was able
to walk straight up the slope from here, only slightly bending my head to pass under the thing. The
route curves to the right and quickly attains the final (easy) slope leading to the summit. The many
little holes in the rock looked like the work of gas bubbles---probably indicating volcanic activity.
